Sekhmet

Sekhmet
   Early lioness-headed Egyptian fire goddess, consort of Ptah and mother of Nefertum and Imhotep. She was the ‘Lady of the West’ and one of the Memphis Triad. When Hathor was ordered by Ra to destroy mankind, Sekhmet assisted her. She became known as ‘the Eye of Ra’ and later was sometimes identified with Hathor.
